Negative Vegetarian Press

... although to be honest, what other kind of press would a vegetarian diet get in the mainstream media?

I've just come across this article when I was browsing the recipes on Closer magazines website. I think the first comment underneath sums up my thought pretty much perfectly. I'm so tired of reading articles about vegetarianism which portray it as being difficult, or even unhealthy, when it's blatantly not. Why don't we ever get an article about the benefits of a vegetarian diet, when there is so much research proving just how healthy a meat-free diet is?

I didn't want to start my new blog out on a bad note, but... too late!

Ugh, I hate negative veg press... remember the "baby-starving" article in the New York Times that denounced veganism? So sad, as there are tons of healthy vegan babies!!!

But there IS some good vegetarian press in the world; don't despair-- the times are changing for the better!

Been a veggie for going on 25 years so I have learned to ignore the press. Although it makes me sad that articles like that will discourage new converts to what is so obviously a healthier lifestyle. There is on the other hand MUCH more good press and widespread acceptence than there was a few decades ago...reason to be encouraged!

Anyone who says living a vegetarian lifestyle is difficult and/or unhealthy is an idiot! Vegetarianism is the easiest lifestyle choice to make. And not only is it good for you, it's good for the environment as well!
